JAMB: Over 700,000 Candidates Register for 2025 UTME in 10 Days

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has registered over 700,000 candidates for the 2025 UTME within the first 10 days. JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, revealed that by Friday, the number stood at 780,202, including 11,512 underage applicants.

JAMB maintains a minimum age of 16 but allows exceptions for highly gifted students. Oloyede warned against premature registration, urging parents to ensure their children are academically ready.

He also clarified that candidates under trial testing pay only ₦3,500 for exam logistics. With registration ongoing, JAMB continues strict monitoring to ensure a smooth process.
