It’s hard to pinpoint whether Nigerians don’t value real talent or just don’t see its relevance. Many don’t even realize Tekno produced “Won’t Be Late” by Swae Lee ft. Drake or that he gave Davido his comeback with “IF”. His work was featured in “The Lion King: The Gift”, and from 2013 to 2019, without an album, he dropped a hit single every year that was banger. He even sampled 50 Cent’s “In Da Club”, and 50’s reaction to Tekno’s refix said it all. If it were easy, someone else would’ve replicated his historic achievements, which I doubt.
