Police Ban Durbar Festivities in Kano Over Security Concerns

The Kano State Police Command has prohibited all Durbar activities during the 2025 Eid-El-Fitr celebrations, citing intelligence reports of planned disruptions.

Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori stated that the decision was made in consultation with the state government and security agencies to prevent unrest.

Security measures have been put in place for Eid prayers, and residents are urged to comply with guidelines to maintain peace.
