Belgium Sacks Domenico Tedesco After Poor Results.
Belgium's football association (RBFA) has sacked coach Domenico Tedesco after disappointing campaigns at Euro 2024 and the Nations League.
Appointed in February 2023 to rebuild after the "golden generation," Tedesco's side exited Euro 2024 in the Round of 16 to France and finished third in their Nations League group, losing twice to France. A relegation playoff against Ukraine awaits in March.
Tedesco expressed pride in his tenure and confidence in the team's future. RBFA CEO Peter Willems praised Tedesco for integrating young talent but confirmed five staff members were also dismissed. Reports link Rudi Garcia and Thierry Henry as possible successors.
